Very good for beginners but one limitation

First of all I would like to say that this kit is really very good value for money. I was looking for something fairly inexpensive so I could use my iPhone to put together some videos for my workbench as well as tutorial videos for some friends. It does it in spades, very good tote, nothing cheap or flimsy about it. Comes with a good microphone and decent light. It was easy to set up for the most part, but I wish the kit at least had a little guide to explain a few things. Keep in mind that I'm 100% new to this sort of thing, so I didn't have a very good idea of how it works when it comes down to it. So, here are just a few things I learned: 1. The base that holds the flashlight and microphone doesn't have a cutout in the case, it sits in a mesh pocket.2. The light, while decent, doesn't have a great run time, so keep that in mind.3. The attached microphone showed no signs of working, at least on my iPhone 11. The only way I knew of was to download a decibel meter to test it. On the iPhone 11 (I have no idea about Android devices or other iPhone series) the microphone is just plug and play and it works. 4. There are two settings on the mic, a curved line and a straight line, which in no way describe what they do. After some research, I can tell you that the curved line cuts off low frequencies, which means the sound from the air conditioner, microwave, ceiling fan, etc. are disabled. A straight line means it's picking up those sounds. So a curved line will reduce ambient noise, while a straight line will pick up all noise. I hope this review helps some people, it's a great product in my opinion, I just need a guide to help 100% newbies like me explain things when it comes to blogging. and video recording.
