I just bought my daughter a new bike and it didn't have a kickstand because it had training wheels. You simply loosen the screw on the rear wheel, put it on and put the screw back in. I have ordered several of these coasters after the sale and they are the best quality I have ever seen. It's a thicker metal, stronger spring and thicker foot padding. You just need to make a few adjustments to ensure the bike has a good incline when the stand is in place, otherwise it will stand up straight and tip over.
