We used to have a zip tie but over time it stretched and as this item was no longer available I bought this instead. The line held normal for the first few months. There was no stretching and with regular checks there were no problems with the leash itself. Until the neighbor went for a walk with his corgi. My dog bowed and wagged his tail, the corgi bowed and wagged his tail. My dog ran towards them, then over them and they started playing. Suffice it to say the corgi's owner got a little tangled in the leash and snapped it before I could pick up my dog. I ended up getting a repair slip and a week of quarantine for my dog because of the incident. Of course he's a bulldog, fat and muscular, but it's clear he was trying to play. Dude, calm down, you've never seen two dogs play? The fact that this is a tyrannical breed does not imply aggression or malice. That being said, I can only recommend this product for a Beagle.
