I already had an "old" version of this case and decided to buy it because it claims to hold a charger AND a switch with a protective cover. As soon as I got it I did a side by side comparison and both cases looked almost the same in size. The new version is only SLIGHTLY larger, but not by much. So I went ahead and added the charging cable (which I couldn't do with the old case) and also plugged in my switch with the grip cover attached. I was able to fit into both and zip up, but it was quite tight. I mean SNUG. I should also mention that I carry 2 extra Joy-Cons in my zip pouch. I need to arrange the Joy-Cons and charging cable so that the case closes properly. After all is said and done I will give it 5 stars because it does what it says on the tin. Hold the charging cable and switch with a grip cover.
