GAME CHANGE to work from home!

I have been forced to work from home due to COVID-19 and with my own system I also brought my laptop to work. I switched between my regular keyboard and my laptop keyboard. Both are good on their own, but switching between them messes up my home row. And it was frustrating having a tiny screen instead of dual monitors to get things out of the way. I use DisplayPort connectors and if you do you will need HDMI cables with DisplayPort adapters. I'm not a photo enthusiast and didn't want to adapt 4K, but my games are rendered with the same clarity as before, so I'm happy with my regular PC and it gives me a keyboard and mouse to use on either machine. and now I feel like I used to at work and I'm still trying to figure out if that's good or bad. ADVANTAGES: 1) Price - just a cursory glance can tell you that there are other switches that are much more expensive. It does the job for a good price 2) Adaptability - I have displayport connections on both computers and it's an HDMI switch, but a couple of displayports to HDMI and I was ready to go. When looking at Displayport switches, I've found that many people are dissatisfied and some are going completely to a VGA switch and using adapters. *** IMPORTANT NOTE *** If you are using Displayport, please use adapters ON THE COMPUTER SIDE! You must have an HDMI port on your monitor, which most do. 3) SUPPORT - HOLY SHIT! YOU GIVE SUPPORT! I replied to their generated email with no expectation of anything in return, but they helped me with suggestions and when I needed an electronic copy of their instructions they provided me with one. In fact, their support is a big reason I'm writing this review. She helped me get this switch working instead of sending it to the land of the wrong hardware. Keyboard shortcuts - they offer a remote control and a way to switch between computers on the Switch itself, but I was hoping for a keyboard shortcut. It's just a personal preference. GENERAL: PURCHASE OF THE YEAR! I've been able to rid my desk of extraneous screens, mice and keyboards and I feel like I've had success with this switch ***UPDATE*** for 8 months and this switch has been reliable and managed mine Fingers effortlessly between computers. It's an educational product that has become a staple of my home system. I have to say again, the investment is worth it!
