I don't like to carry around my big headphones and I don't like Bluetooth headphones either. I love the over-the-ear design and use them without the black silicone straps that go over the ear. I have other Edifier products so I was looking forward to them. In terms of sound quality, once you've found the right tip to match, they sound great. If the tip of an in-ear headphone is too small, you'll get a very flat sound, while a tip that's too big creates a lump in the ear and can cause headaches and bass tunnels. Luckily I have a variety of earbuds that I bought so I already had a pair that I will definitely use. I recommend trying each set of nozzles that come with it, and maybe even ordering more nozzles or trying different materials (such as foam nozzles) until you find the one that works for you. I find them very balanced in terms of sound. I like warm and clear bass because if the bass is too heavy or punchy my head starts to ache. They have just the right amount of bass I need and seem to retain Edifier's signature high-end sound, which is always very clean and not harsh. All in all I think the $30 was well spent and I expect it will do a lot of good.
