Review on πŸ‘“ Gargoyles Performance Eyewear: Optimal Safety Glasses for Superior Protection by John Brazington

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Despite the nostalgia, these are solid glasses with great lenses.

Yes, I kind of wanted them because the Terminator made me obsessed with them in high school, but I also like the functionality. The optics are great - I have Ray Ban, Oakley, Serengeti etc and these lenses are just as sharp. These are now my new cycling glasses. Note (for those who have never had Gargoyles): The point where the finials meet the lens on either side is polished, giving you 2 points in your peripheral vision. It doesn't bother me, but one should be aware of it if it becomes annoying. Also, they don't have spring loops. However, I have a fairly large head (23.5 inches in circumference) and they fit great. Finally, the lenses are thick (and possibly ANSI certified - I don't remember) and could probably stop a bullet that went in my eye. I won't test it.
