I bought this to replace the shoulder strap on a laptop/book bag I use in grad school. It has twist locks, unlike the strap my bag came with. At first glance everything was great. The shoulder pad was larger and softer than the original. Unfortunately, shortly after the return deadline, one of the buckles broke and my bag was slung over my shoulder. It hit me before I realized what had happened. I've had my bag and original shoulder strap for over a year with no problems and have often carried heavier loads of books than when that strap snapped. The dubious quality of the clasps can be seen on the strap, unfortunately the letter I sent to the seller over a week ago has not come back. I'll look around for a new, better replacement. I recommend looking elsewhere if you need a quality strap to replace your messenger or book bag. You won't find one here and you won't find customer service for a faulty product.
