I just bought a Phantom L and I love the sound. The best compact speaker that doesn't need an additional subwoofer. Treble, treble and bass are amazing, around 65 on the included remote. Anything higher than you want is outside. I played at 100 will blow your mind no distortion. But too loud for the house. Between 35 and 50 is ideal for the home. I actually bought this speaker for my boat, I can play it and hear the speaker but not the motors. I tried many speakers on the boat and ended up hearing only high frequencies and no low frequencies. So this is ideal if you are competing with outboard engines. Bass rumbles to everything not glued to bass tracks on the home and chest. You missed the opportunity to set the equalizer, it doesn't matter for new music for new technologies. But your old songs from the '70s and '80s won't have the same bass impact as the new music because they recorded it back then. No big deal, it just sounds like you've always heard it, but you don't get any extra bass like adding an EQ to pump it up. I highly recommend that you buy a cocoon case if you want to move this beast around. A very clumsy egg-shaped creature, and VERY heavy. I didn't have any connection problems either. If he asks to give him love, you should put your hand on him, but not to the side, but directly in front of you. It took me a while to figure it out because I couldn't finish the setup until I put my hand right in front of it to love it. Funny, nice little gesture. BTW, this is an app setting, not a speaker setting. You don't need an app for it to work. Remote pairing works the same way. You have to touch the top. So this version, I think they got it right off the last gen. I read a lot of complaints and that's why I didn't buy it. Now they got it right. I think everyone who buys a Phantom will be delighted.
