This light replaced a light that was having trouble turning on (it didn't always go off the first time). This indicator is off by default and won't drain your battery when you're idle. The lights are rechargeable, but you need a CR2032 battery for the remote control. It is quite bright and visible (although not as clearly) during the day. The issues I have with this light are the 30 second flash time and you don't get an indication when the signal is still on. The flash time is quite short for city traffic, where you are often held up for more than 30 seconds at traffic lights or oncoming traffic. The light goes off and if you try to clear the signal after making a turn, just reactivate it. Also, the display on the remote control will turn off after about 2 seconds, leaving no indication that the signal is still on. Connections are a bit weak, especially the handlebar remote, although the light is pretty bright.
