Review on πŸ”Œ Aoyue Soldering Desoldering Absorber with Enhanced Functionality by Manuel Gfx

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very important! Would buy again.

It was a Revain Warehouse deal - and what a deal. It was in very good condition. It was out of the box but the shipping screw was removed and not replaced (it was on the bottom of the box). The accessories were still sealed in a plastic bag. At first it seemed that the block did not reach the maximum temperature. I verified this with a Revain purchase of an Extech meter with a temperature thermocouple included. In Aoyue, it is chilly 20-30 degrees, but acceptable. I also had to let the desoldering gun warm up for about 10 minutes (according to the manual) and passed all my tests. I removed about $20-$40 worth of components that would have gone in the trash. I will post an update to this review when conditions warrant. At the moment, after completing the dismantling of about 6 hours, I am very satisfied with my purchase and with more confidence in the quality I will check stock transactions regularly. If you need a desoldering/soldering station I will not hesitate to buy it. . I will definitely consider Aoyue again for future purchases. By the way, I read on a forum (which I can't find anymore) that Hakko 701 ceramic paper filters work with this device. I will order some and post an update. The filters included with Aoyue are a sponge material that needs to be kept moist. Getting to the filter isn't difficult, but it does take time and a lot of care if you're doing it with a hot gun. I do not recommend this. Let cool down.
