Review on Little Giant Ladders Safety Step 2-Step 2 Foot Step Stool Aluminum Type 1A 300 lbs Weight Rating Gray - 10210BA by Paul Barnes

This ladder was my third purchase from Little Giant. I have a 20 foot ladder and a 26 foot ladder and love both. These ladders are reliable, versatile and easy to use. The security ladder is really not true. When the ladder is open, it is strong and stable. The steps are a bit difficult to open and fold, but my big issue is the safety bar. The bar is easy to open and close. There are two release handles that must be pressed to fold the safety bar. On my stairs it was very difficult to work with these handles. I had to use two hands to pull back the locking pins and I could never be sure the pins were fully retracted. The last time I used the ladder, either the pins weren't fully retracted or one of them slipped back into the hole securing the rung. The handle began to fold, but one of the pins was bent. Now I have a safety bar that won't snap into place. I called support twice. The first person I spoke to promised to send me a warranty claim form, but I never received it. The second time I called, the support rep told me I should have oiled the clearance and referred me to the "warranty department". After about 10 calls, I received a voice message from someone. They might call me back, but I'm not optimistic. Some people seem to like these stairs but I'm very disappointed.
