Review on 🐠 Two Little Fishies Coraffix Cyanoacrylate: The Perfect Solution for Aquatic Adhesion by Michael Powell

Sticks fast, holds well, but with gloves!

I like this epoxy. It sets quickly when wet and has a pretty good hold. I like to use it with an underwater epoxy putty from the same company: I knead the putty, water CorAffix and immediately place the cutting in the aquarium. After a few days the fixation is excellent. However, I learned a few lessons the hard way. First, this material sticks skin to skin after getting wet. If you notice it right away (which luckily I did) you can easily disconnect and just peel off CorAffix a few hours after it dries. Some of the CorAffix spilled down the side of the bottle and I removed my gloves as I put them away and didn't notice the spill. It held two fingers together after two or three seconds of contact, but I separated them slightly and everything was fine. Binding like a tentacle cleaner. Be sure to use the right amount, and if you want, use splitter scissors or something else to snip off the extra trace (don't pull on it, you might rip the connection out). Overall, I recommend this product to others. However, as I said, I prefer it in combination with epoxy putty.

Pros
  • CorAffix is an ethyl cyanoacrylate adhesive with a viscosity similar to honey
Cons
  • Some bugs
