I've tried several inexpensive joysticks to control various things (like my car head unit, firestick, etc.) -- I'll say that one is one of the best I've tried, but it still has too many annoying issues not to be pigeonholed and forgotten. Probably my main problem with this joystick was that when you control the cursor with the joystick, there is a delay of about half a second from the moment you stop moving the joystick, and therefore the cursor doesn't end up where you are would like it - if it was not for the cursor problem, the joystick is very programmable and I would recommend it to those who are looking for a joystick but don't necessarily need great cursor ability.
