Review on ๐ŸŽฏ Laser Golf Rangefinder for Golf & Hunting: High-Precision Distance Measuring with Flag Pole Locking, Vibration Slope Function, and 7X Magnification by Alejandro Labustin

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Compact, easy to use and appears to be very accurate.

I received this as a promotional item for free. I have not received any compensation for writing an honest review. I don't golf or hunt anymore so I can't give a detailed review of how this item will perform on a golf course or any terrain that someone might encounter while hunting. I was primarily interested in using this device as a measuring device outside my home and determining the distance to large hawks and owls in the woods around my home. So far, my measurements are within the tolerances specified by the manufacturer. . I measured my fence line, which I know the actual distance of, and since I didn't use a tripod to keep the rangefinder steady, this gave very accurate readings. I took some "shots" of some hawks and trees and the reported distance is very close to the actual distance when measured with a tape measure. I have been estimating range for many years as a hunter and also during my military experience, so my "guesses" are confirmed by the measurements of this range finder. The little thing about the rangefinder that bothers me is that the power button and mode button are very close together on the top of the rangefinder. Thumbs have a hard time with this since the rangefinder itself is quite small. The magnification is listed as 7x and I have no way of confirming or disproving that claim. There is a threaded insert on the underside that can be used to mount it on a tripod like a camera. It also comes with a small wrist strap that you have to attach yourself, which is tedious for big fingers and those of us who need reading glasses to see small items and gather in even smaller places. It's possible, just be patient and use the toothpick to your advantage. I personally find it difficult to adjust the focus ring while looking through the viewfinder as there is no eye relief and my fingers have little room between the focus ring and my face. turn the ring The focus ring and sometimes my fingers brush my lashes. It tickles and causes flicker, which is inconsistent with trying to focus the viewfinder. Other people may not have this problem, or it may be worse for some. I think if it was mounted on a tripod it would be easier to focus, but who carries a tripod around when playing golf. Hunters rarely carry the right kind of tripod, so they face the same or even more problems when wearing gloves. It comes with two batteries and you only need one so you have a spare. Batteries are sealed to prevent contact, so you must carefully remove the protective film before inserting the battery. User manuals are included for several models of rangefinders that the company makes. Make sure you know which model you have and find the relevant user information in the manual. In general, getting a golf course distance or a quick, accurate distance to that 12-point dollar can be handy. As I've only had it a few days, I've had to give an updated durability rating lately. For now, rate 3 stars due to button issues and focus issues, as well as value and cost.
