LENOVO IdeaPad FLEX 15

My laptop screen has a black frame covered with glass, but the visible part matches the size of this privacy filter. So I decided to give it a try and see if it works. It worked to my satisfaction. I only used three small earbuds as I was planning on removing the screen while working at home. The tabs hang above the visible part, but they don't bother too much because they are on the left in the scroll bar and at the bottom in the area of used icons. The installation was a bit fiddly. I was able to open my laptop as it is FLEX. After the screen was thoroughly cleaned, I positioned the filter to see how it would close and the best way to place the protrusions. I left the screen on so I could see the borders better. Using tweezers, line the bottom tab, place the screen in this tab and align with the visible area. Then paste the final tabs. I don't plan on removing the protective cover from the screen, but this will likely reduce glare and make it thinner so it can slide over the ledges. Functionally, it works as described. In my case, the direct image on the screen was darkened by about 30% compared to the notch at the top right of the screen. I wish they had more tabs and plastic tweezers to place the tabs. The AMAZING plus was that it worked on my touchscreen even though it wasn't advertised.

Pros
  • Superior privacy protection: block the view beyond a 60-degree viewing angle, only you can see what's on your laptop screen, and people on either side of it can't see.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
