So before I bought the device I read the reviews, all the reviews on this new product seemed decent. I'm currently on a trip to Europe and have used up the 1GB of free international data provided, although it works I'm not entirely sure if it's working properly because my data burned out. I have all background refresh settings OFF for cellular and Wi-Fi, I even removed the buggy apps that are consuming most of the data. I had closed apps on my phone so they wouldn't be running in the background when I was done with them. Wi-Fi with this I turn off the GlocalMe G4, I'm not sure if it's broken because in just a few instances I've used up almost 1GB of pre-purchased data on a Europe sim card when I had a Wi-Fi hotspot, I left it on just to see how much data it wasted, and with no apps running on my currently connected phone, 1GB is consumed pretty quickly with just the phone on and connected. My girlfriend has 4.5GB of data that she uses on her phone with SIM card and it takes a lot of time to upload to Facebook and Instagram regularly. She didn't even have Refr background apps, everything was on day during the days we were here in Europe and after about 30 days she still had 310 megabits left of 4.5. The Glocalme I was using I unplugged and burned about 800 in less than an active hour while actually using them. I had to turn it off and on periodically so it couldn't see all of my data. I am not very happy with the product because it will cost me a lot of money if I use my phone LESS than I normally use it. With the same 4.5GB, my girlfriend used her phone because I can't even count on getting from one country to another with the same amount. I wish someone would have posted this for others to see. Unless of course my glocalme is broken, I suppose that would make sense. If it is a defective product, it has yet to be evaluated. Otherwise there are 2 stars and I would not recommend it.
