I hate this coffee maker. My last was Mr. Coffee and everything was fine. I just wanted smaller. I agree with all the other people who have said that it is poorly designed so the lid is difficult to close and you have to strain to open it. My main complaint is that after a few uses, the components that supply heated water to the basket have separated, preventing water from dripping into the basket. After that, it proved almost impossible to align these small parts when closing the lid so that you couldn't see what you were doing. Once in place it's only a matter of time before they come loose again when you lift the lid, remove the basket etc. Can't understand why nobody has complained. Yes, the coffee isn't hot enough when you use cream, but that seems to apply to everyone. Now I have to find another.
