I've learned that to reliably hit the ball, you have to let the club do all the work. It is best to swing this instrument as slowly and gently as possible while you can just hold it in your hands. This will give your racquets a great feel. If your backswing and launch is soft, the weight of the racquet can hit the ground where power naturally occurs. This tool is great for getting a feel for when the whip is at the end of the downswing. I promise if you're having trouble making solid contact, swing the stick as hard as you can. It's counterintuitive, but it will work.
