You should actually be able to cover cases. I made sure there was no dust and I was in a room with no fans/air movement but unfortunately it was bubbling up so I had to cover it up with a large sticker. The bottom, keyboard and mouse pad are perfectly flat. The keyboard cover wasn't quite to scale, so I had to use an x-acto razor to trim over the key button next to the hinge. I'm good at it so it was easy not to damage my laptop, but I don't think it should be that hard. The bottom is close but not exact. The keyboard and bottom were to scale. So far nothing has gone wrong or broken! Easy to clean. I haven't tried shooting yet. Crossed fingers!
