We have ordered two of these wheels in the last 5 months, one larger and one smaller. The ferris wheel was actually very quiet - it was surprisingly quiet and the hamster loved it. A few weeks ago it stopped spinning freely - can't tell what's wrong with it, there's nothing stuck there but it looks like it's just worn out; The hamster tried so hard to move it that she stopped using it. We decided to just order another one (although other reviews suggest the wheels should last more than 4 months) and accidentally ordered one in a small size. Our hamster is a dwarf hamster, everything was fine, but a normal size hamster would not fit the small size. Anyway, the hamster loves it again, but this one isn't quiet (not sure if these are even small). Not as loud as some bikes, but definitely not quiet - and definitely louder than the big ones we've had of the same make/type/color.
