It works fine on my motorola g7 power android phone and dell laptop to connect a pc headset. Nothing to say except that it works as advertised. Connect a microphone to the pink jack. Connect your speakers/headphones to the green jack. Ready! Initially I had problems with the laptop because I disabled the microphone in the BIOS (my fault). If your laptop doesn't recognize the microphone when you plug it in, you should check your BIOS settings to make sure the hardware is enabled. Other steps that may help: (1) Reinstall your audio drivers. (2) Make sure the correct input is selected. Usually it's something like Realtek. You can find out by opening Device Manager and right-clicking the sound icon. Make sure the microphone is on. (3) Search the web for your specific laptop/device. Sometimes you need to follow the steps for a specific device. Much luck!
