Not impressed Good for washing

I'm taking a one-hour MF swim class. I started out with a new suit and this bottle of swimsuit cleaner, thinking it would help extend the life of the swimsuit. The bottle says it neutralizes the effects of chlorine and protects the color of the fabric. I readily admit that the suit manufacturer has something to do with the quality of the fabric, but this cleaner did not prevent chlorine damage or color fading. Every day after I took off my suit, I immediately washed it with this cleaner. then hung to dry. From the first use, the mesh bra began to fade. After a few weeks the suit started to fade and most of the mesh bra changed from black to natural - there is still some black around the neck and under the arms but the only all black part is the foam cups. During the 40 days that this bottle lasted, the fabric of the costume itself had completely faded from a slightly light teal/black/taupe to a messy and faded color with very little discernible color. The black border around the arms is mostly brown. This product did not prevent my suit from getting damaged or keeping its color and my bathroom had a strong smell of bleach. I now use 1/4 cup of plain baking soda in the sink with water to rinse my suit everyday. The chemical reaction helps neutralize the chlorine. Baking soda doesn't completely remove the smell of chlorine, but it does a better job than Splash. Baking soda is also much cheaper and appears to be just as effective as this product.
