Wow! This coupling is a lot tighter than pictured or what I expected. The steel receiver is strong (literally), the side flanges where the pins go are 3/8", the pins are 5/8", and the welds are excellent. I'm an Alaskan from the bush. I know what it's like to be isolated from help or repairing equipment. I would take this towbar to any remote location and trust it would not let you down. Today the first test is to pull a tractor on a rough road. If I have any problems later I will post a repost. Key factors when purchasing this hitch: durability, wide range of height adjustments, towbar stays close to vehicle so weight isn't added, price, and a carrier willing to ship to Alaska (many won't).
