I bought Nutro Wholeome Essentials to supplement Nutro Max for adult large breed dogs with farm chickens because Rico loves to add variety to their diet . I was really impressed by the nutrition and the ingredients. This probably never would have happened if I had never let him know that there is such a variety of food in the world. Yes, I'm guilty of letting him bite this and that over and over, but since he's on meds every day now, I have to cover the meds, which increases the "What?!" frequency. I know pill pouches are available but 10-13 pouches a day is getting very expensive. Anyway, back to Wholeome Essentials; I've noticed an overall improvement in Rico's health. I'm not saying it's a panacea, but I'm very mindful and very happy with the addition of Essentials. His energy levels are also better and when he's happy, I'm happy. I will continue to get this for Rico, my giant fur baby.
