Review on πŸ”Œ Anker 4-Port USB 3.0 Unibody Aluminum Data Hub for MacBook, iMac, Surface Pro, and More by Michael Powell

Worth the higher price for the quality

Let me start by saying that I rarely review, buy a lot and am more concerned than most about the looks and performance of my workstation. Beware of paying $20 for a USB hub with only 4 ports. However, I figured I better not skimp on Chinese-made accessories compared to $5-10 options and news of faulty USB-C materials. with sunshine and joyful declaration. I loved it (I'm from Oregon, love recycling and wish we had more sun). The device makes a solid impression. The aluminum hub looks well built, the felt base works great for my glass table, and it has a rubber center in the middle so it won't move across a clean surface. The green power light is on and I'd like to turn it off as there's nothing on my desk to match. The ANKER logo comes off with some rubbing alcohol and looks amazing once removed (black aluminum and blue USB 3.0 ports). It also comes with Velcro that fits perfectly under the device and doesn't hang down! In my experience, this is very rare, with most devices throwing some oddly shaped parts or none at all in the box. They know their product well and anyone who cares about the look of their desk will want a way to secure things in place. I have a note: the cable is not interchangeable. It's built into the case and you'll need a USB extension cable to connect remotely. I would have given 4 stars but the lucky card that was in the box raised it to 5. Anker was not a company that I was familiar with but will now start buying accessories from them in the future.

  • Impressive
Cons
