wow, i'm really surprised!

I would really like to know what brand of paper is in this magazine because I would buy it in sheets. I actually thought it was 100% cotton when I first opened the magazine and started drawing on it, and was surprised it was *not* 100% cotton. cool print but no major bumps.) and the ink I used (Daniel Smith) did a GORGEOUS job on this paper. I've used Moonglow, a color that splits into multiple colors, and only on certain papers, and this paper did the job. so long that it took on the homogenized appearance of "spots" that ink has on cheap paper, but it did not absorb into the paper immediately like some cotton papers do. Like I said, I don't know what kind of paper it is, but I like it. This is a kind of watercolor diary that makes you want to fill it out. This is unusual for me - I didn't find a watercolor magazine I liked until I found this one. I usually use Arches Cold Press and for crazy textures I use Khadi and Shizen 100% cotton paper, that's my point of comparison. The magazine itself is really nice and sturdy. I like how big it is. If I experience any weird paper surprises with certain pigments/brands I will update this review to reflect that. Sometimes certain brands of watercolor don't work that well on certain pulp papers, but it was a win with Daniel Smith.
