Light and therefore very comfortable and soft. I washed it straight away and then I had to wash it less than two weeks later because my little bitch had a minor pee accident and the reason I say this is because it came very clean and I used it in my standard top loader -I washed in the washing machine. but it's a Samsung without the high agitator, and just in case I took it out, adjusted it and rinsed and spun a second time after the normal wash cycle, and I used the warm water setting. I then dried it on low heat for about 90 minutes and refrigerated at the end of the cycle. I've done this three times in the last month and a half and it's still like new. And by the way, it's a king size, and yes, it's big. And yes, as I said, it fits my standard top-load washing machine, but keep in mind that it doesn't have a high center agitator. It certainly won't fit in an old model medium agitator washing machine. So if you don't have a front-loading or top-loading washing machine without a spiked agitator, you'll have to take it to the laundry. I absolutely love this comforter, it is SOOOOO soft and comfy!
