Anyone used to military style belts should have no problem with this belt. it is very long and like most belts of this type, behind the buckle is an adjustable closure with spikes that clamp the fabric. At the other end is a very nice metal tip. I've been using this type of strap for years, so I know from experience that you shouldn't over-tighten the bar in the buckle or it can be painful to loosen later. I just always fit snug enough to stay secure. I've been using this belt for a few days and it's great! I would definitely buy another one if needed.
