I needed a stem extender to raise the handlebars on my Trek/Gary Fisher bike a few inches and tilt them back a bit. I took a picture with this unknown brand with no US reviews. The delivery was fast and I installed the extension in less than ten minutes. I did NOT have to change the cables which was great and this extension will fit a 1" (25.4mm) diameter handlebar - be sure to measure your bar diameter before ordering! The workmanship of this part is good, the extension comes with 2 extension rings. - I needed one for my Bontrager run. It also includes 2 Allen keys. I've added blue threadlock to the entire thread of each bolt - I don't want any part of that raised shank to come loose due to vibration. one mile test spin and my surgically repaired shoulders felt MUCH less stress from the new raised handlebars. I've ridden about 100 miles since installing it and the extension works great - greatly reduced shoulder pain. My balance on the bike has also improved. I'm a big guy - 6'1" 225 lbs lifter my whole life and my whole upper body was too far forward and the pressure on my arms has numbed my arms with the old bottom bar position and caused a lot of shoulder pain ( 3 rotator cuff surgeries shoulder ).Based on over 50 years of pulling wrenches on bikes, this quality stem extender is easy to install, adjust on the go, inexpensive, and just what I needed to retard the aging process. a piece.
