Fur. Look elsewhere when working with a deck.

I've tried it, it's time to upgrade my current roll mat. The price was right, but that's where it ends. The degassing with this thing is really bad, it lasted about 60 seconds until I got a monstrous headache. I'm really immune to this issue with other items, so it must be pretty bad as far as outgassing. What's really important is that it's just not a good cardmat. Aside from trying to focus during a momentary migraine, the mat itself is actually very thin compared to any roll I've ever used. much too long. Might work for a close-up of a coin or similar, but for maps it's overkill. The weird slippery grain really ruins it. I recommend shelling out a few bucks more for a Magic Makers Jumbo Close-Up when working with the deck. Much thicker, no grit on the surface, no oddly slippery long fibers and will last a very long time (3+ years) with daily use.
