You have to press Auto and forget it, even after I've blocked some areas of my house so it doesn't get stuck, it hyper cleans my kitchen and utility room, tidies up a small living room, returns to the kitchen and utility room , ignoring my bedroom. It bumps into everything with a loud bang, if it's not firm it will move/push a lot. It can't find the charging port and gets stuck in the corner and rotates left and right when the charging port is near. An automated unit requires grueling human guidance, this model DOES NOT recognize magnetic perimeter bars. I would skip it and take something else.
