I live in the south where it's not always easy to control the humidity in the house let alone the bathroom! I used to have two different towels and no matter how I hung them up after a shower, they were damp the next morning. Despite the fact that I used bleach in the laundry, mold smell developed over time and some of them even got mold stains. A friend of mine showed me her linen closet full of these waffle towels and said they were the only towels her family had used in three years! I did a lot of research, thought about the purchase for a long time and finally decided to order two bath towels to try. Here's what I know after using them for months and using the same towel for 4-5 days: 1) Due to his work, my boyfriend showers again in the morning and after work, and the towel is dry in each of his showers.2) The Manufacturer claims they should shrink a little, and they do. While I didn't find it very noticeable, it didn't affect my perception of the size of the bath towel. 3) I subsequently ordered two bath towels and they are huge! I've noticed that there's more shrinkage on them, but I was actually happy with it. I'm glad we have a couple of large towels to use whenever we want, but for everyday use the small bath towel is fine. 4) They get softer with washing - really! However, follow the manufacturer's directions for washing with vinegar for the first wash (which I didn't do on our first set) and you'll notice the softness right away. 5) They take up almost no closet space! People who love fluffy towels and don't pretend. They dry my skin thoroughly and quickly after showering, which is more important to me. If in doubt about ordering these towels, just do it! I'm very picky about the things I buy and I'm so glad I bought them! The informative note from the manufacturer on the packaging is also very nice. I only gave 4 stars because I can't comment on their long-term use, but I don't see any problems! I plan to expand my collection next year. Much luck!
