The description (and title) clearly state that this is 100% genuine leather. Leather of the highest quality. The belt says it's real leather. Real leather is leather. . . not the best cut of skin. It seems like a good belt, but real leather lasts a year or two before it starts to tear, tear, or stretch. Not bad for $16 but I was fooled by false advertising. This is NOT what I thought I would get. Full-grain leather comes from the top layer of the hide, which contains ALL the grains, meaning the FULL grain. Upper leather is the second greatest quality as it is separated from the faulty top layer. Leather, then sanded and polished. Genuine leather is the third grade of leather, made from the layers of hide left after the top has been removed to obtain the best grades. The surface is usually repolished (spray painted) to resemble a higher quality. It can be smooth or rough. Ever heard of suede? Suede is stronger than fabric and makes an excellent lining, but is not recommended for use in areas where it will be used. Glue leather is dust and leather shavings that are glued together and pressed.
