Oops, did I buy a lemon? All barcodes I scan result in a 3 tone beep error and no data is sent as keystrokes. There are no instructions in the 5" x 5" Quick Start Guide, just software barcodes for: Factory Default, Version, USB* Mode, RS232 Mode, Trigger Mode*, Steady Mode, Add CR*, Add LF, Add CR+ LF, no, 900*, 115200. That's it. I've tried what I personally know about barcode scanners, right down to opening the device and inspecting the internal module. It seems to be the same module in all cheap barcode scanners.
