Arrived on time, in good condition and unopened. The tiles are of good weight, solid and resistant to accidental mishandling (e.g. the tile falling off the table) that occurs in normal games. They are etched, mostly in a nice color except for the green which is too dark. On the other hand, betting sticks, dice and an anemometer appear to be more fragile as they are lighter and sometimes have an excess of plastic or paint. The bones in particular are quite small. Not small enough to climb up and disappear on you, but we've switched to using regular, large cubes from other games. It doesn't come with a manual or anything that tells you about Yaku or how to set up the game, but that's a minor issue. The clear rules of Riichi Mahjong are available online and if you're looking to buy a set you probably have a clear idea of what the rules are anyway. In general I am satisfied with the purchase. The lower quality of the betting sticks and wind indicator isn't too bad since they broke after a few months of play or something.
