Review on TP Solar10 Portable Maintainer Cigarette Alligator by George Cochran

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A bit skeptical, but so far so good.

Due to the pandemic, I don't drive as often anymore. The battery was empty after 2 days of inactivity. I've had it connected for 3 days now. and every time i tried to start the car everything was fine BUT i haven't left it more than 1 day since i had it. is updated when it sits idle. The board is rigid and looks like a printed circuit board. I'm not sure if it's waterproof, but I won't test it. An LED on the back indicates if there is enough sunlight to activate charging. The cable is not as long as the one that came with it. enough to get from the battery (which is in the front of the driver) to the center of the dash/windshield. I drive a Subaru Forester so it's not that far. Alligator clips look cheap. comes with a cigarette lighter plug to charge this way but mine is switchable so it's useless to me. Also comes with eyelets for attaching to the battery. I'll probably go that route when I have more time to set it up. Overall I'm satisfied, but let's see how long it lasts. Update: Well, the car has been with this connection for 1 week and I tried to start the car but it stopped. I haven't had a chance to get my multimeter out yet, but I want to go back now. In addition, the panel on the dashboard, which had become very hot in the sun, became pliable and not so hard when it was cool. In fact, I could see the tracks moving slightly on the panel. There will be more once I get my meter out.
