This is not about quantity.
I've encountered this problem with other brands where the screws are either frozen and won't turn or won't lock the cable end. During the production of molded parts, there can be problems with heating. The latch/spring version is good for temporary attachment to small breadboards or to confirm proper termination before soldering.
