Ideal for small projects
I didn't want to burn my desk with my little soldering project, so I got this. It took a few days but everything arrived in perfect condition. It copes well with the fire of the torch and helps finish the work on time. If I had a choice I would make it thinner and make it take up more real estate. but then I think it will break. Maybe for a bigger project I would have invested in a bigger block, but for any little things (bracelets, earrings) this is ideal.
- The non-asbestos refractory is fibrous and therefore soft enough to attach objects to the surface for perfect soldering.
