Neat product. Pay attention to the orientation.

The adapter works as advertised. However, it's important to note how the orientation depends on the device you're going to connect it to. I bought it for a Canon 5D Mark III camera to display video on a large monitor. I assumed the cable would face down when connecting to the camera as I figured that would put the least stress on the camera's HDMI input. But unfortunately it faces upwards, which isn't a bad thing, in this case it doesn't interfere with anything, which I would use on the inputs above the HDMI connector. However, I have the feeling that I need to secure it somehow so it doesn't twist the connector either way. This applies to cable versions that are oriented at a 90Β° angle (perpendicular) to the cable itself. I should note that the entrance of the camera connector is VERY narrow. I'm not sure if that's good or bad. It's safe as long as it doesn't damage the port, I think that's a plus. I'm not sure how well the cable will hold up and I don't think it will hold that much load. But it's useful if you want to film yourself with a DSLR, which, unlike a phone, doesn't have a monitor on the front facing you. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.
