Functionally, everything works well, the tips are firm and well formed, no protruding fibers and the like. The "ink" is pink in tint and shows up against white, not so much against other colors. I use it over watercolors and it doesn't discolour the color very much as far as I can see. I use iridescent (transparent with glitter) embossing powder and even after heating the powder for a long time the pink color does not disappear on clean (white) paper. That's the only reason I gave 4 stars. If you don't use it on white you won't have any problems with it. For my work on white I will probably look for another non-tinted embossing pen.
