When the same type of Proctor Silex grinder I had and have been using regularly for over a decade needed to be replaced, based on my past experience, despite conflicting reviews, I decided to replace it with the same to replace . BAD DECISION! Trust the negative reviews - on the third use of chopping just 1/2 cup of nuts, the grinder self-destructs with an explosive sound and light. The warranty requires you to pay to ship the product back to the company and to ship the repaired product back to the company IF it concludes it is a manufacturer problem and not user error - possibly more than the value of the product. (Too late to return to Revain as I don't use it often).
