Isn't this design beautiful? I couldn't resist this - especially since I'd just smashed the glass portion of my latest French Press. However, the glass part slips out of the metal part very easily. Be extra careful - I doubt it's worth deducting a star for, but in the end it's not as it's still a very effective and delightfully beautiful French Press. I love that it comes off for a thorough cleaning, but it's terribly loose if you're not careful. It holds a good amount - I like it for two cups a day, or a large travel mug. The kit comes with extra screens (seriously!) and a cleaning brush, which are really nice additions. In general, however, the main thing is whether it makes good coffee without me drinking coffee grounds or whether I don't have to screw it compulsively. together again - and the answer is yes.
