After having them in my jeep for a year they broke down. The plastic handle has sharp edges that wear down the material and weaken the grip. When my wife tried not to fall out of the car with it, the handrail broke. Luckily she was able to stay in the car. When I tried mine I found that the same areas were worn due to the plastic grip. It is a pity that the plastic part does not have a radius on the edge that comes into contact with the material. If so, I would consider buying them again.
