Worked great when I was on vacation. I have small fish and big fish, my main concern is small fish. This worked great for a week when I was away, didn't clog or anything like that. I used it outside in a small pond and covered it with a bucket to keep out the rain as the feeding hole was pointing straight up when I wasn't turning to dump feed (the bucket also prevented the feed from spilling out of the blown into the pond before entering the water ). After that, my biggest concern was that the moisture could cause it to clog rather than clog. While not designed for outdoor use it worked great for me with a bucket cover over it and it gets humid here in the south plus it's right over a small pond. I will use this set again on vacation. The feeding hole doesn't look like it will open wide enough for the pond fish pellets which I use if you plan on using it outdoors alone.
