We spend a lot of time outside with our dogs, most of the time in the pool. One of our dogs is French and cannot swim (if you know French bulldogs you know how true that can be). This vest fits him well (I bought him a medium size and he is 27 pounds). He doesn't LIKE swimming, but he does paddling around the pool and burning off some of his energy (another big problem that anyone who owns a French bulldog knows about). I highly recommend.
