I bought this phone to use in the workshop mainly for its caller ID feature and for that purpose it serves the purpose. As with many other reviews, I agree that the display can be difficult to see in certain lighting conditions, but is easier to read when using a flashlight. I no longer have to run to the house to find out who is calling like I had to in the past. All the phones I've researched with this type of display and price range have this display trait, so that's what it is. For a garage phone under $15, this couldn't be better!
