Glass defect, caution!

The lid of the glass broke off so perfectly that my wife cut her lip while drinking from it, unaware that her glass was an inch shorter. Before the incident, she had washed the glasses by hand and placed them upside down in the cupboard. After the incident, she returned to the cupboard, where she removed the wine glass, the lid of which was still there.
