I replaced the BN59-00854A with no problems! Yes, although the remote is the same size as the original, it is much lighter. I have no problem with that. I always rejected the original because of its heavy weight and unwieldy size. An additional feature I love about this replacement remote is the "SLEEP" button. My original remote didn't work, I had to go through the tools menu. My original remote was about 9 years old. The first thing to do was the backlighting of the keys. Then the keys I used most often began to jump and get stuck intermittently. It was a great fix for my worn out remote for only $8. In the photo below, the old remote control is on the left and the replacement Gvirtue is on the right.
