I received my Samsung 860 EVO PRO today and installed it in an HP Envy X360 Convertible with an i7-8550U processor and 16GB RAM. Wow, very happy with this SSD. Obviously the weak link in this system was the 7200rpm hard drive. I was thinking of getting the m.2 nvme but decided to go with this one because of the cost. With an m.2 SSD I would have to scale down the capacity and probably not use the Samsung PRO version to stay in the same range. After only using the system for a few minutes, I'm not sure I really need m.2. It's extremely responsive and load times and loading times have greatly improved. Unless you have a specific use case that requires m.2, I recommend this SSD!
